'Wheel Stops', also known as 'Bumper Curbs', serve an important function
for a parking lot. The absence of wheel stops (or even damaged ones)
can allow vehicles (intentionally or unintentionally) to damage property,
landscape, structures, other vehicles or persons.
Concrete Wheel
Stops - Even
the best concrete-fabricated wheel stops generally have a life span
of seven years before they can break from repeated impact. When they
fail, they often break exposing the ends of the rebar. This is unsightly
and dangerous, and can cause injury to persons and a puncture hazard
to tires.
Rubber Wheel Stops
- Rubber car stops are made from many different types of materials.
Depending on the material used, they can be UV, moisture, oil and temperature
resistant; won't warp, crack, chip or rot; and flexible to conform to
uneven road surfaces
Blast and Stripe can evaluate
the condition of your current wheel stops and discuss your options.
